Whatever…

Friday, October 21st, 2005

A student of mine today pointed out that the rhythm of my haiku is off. Traditionally, Haiku follows the 5-7-5 format. Indeed, my Haiku has strayed far from that. However, in the vein of another Haiku poet, http://www.ahapoetry.com/haiartjr.htm, I believe my haiku captures my experience. So, while I work on my rhythm and syllabic format dear reader, you see if you can capture the moment that I have attempted to capture in verse.

Allow me to begin this blog with an American haiku…
